West Wittering Beach

We’re excited to announce that West Wittering Beach now boasts a brand-new, purpose-built Lifeguard, Safety and Facilities Hub, significantly enhancing the experience for all our visitors. This modern and carefully considered building represents a major investment in beach safety and convenience. It includes an elevated lifeguard lookout for enhanced monitoring, new and improved public toilets, a dedicated medical suite, comfortable changing rooms and a central management space for our beach safety team.

This collaborative project, designed by Cover Storey Architects and expertly built by King & Drury Construction, prioritised both functionality and environmental sensitivity. The result is a building that not only meets the practical needs of our team but also blends harmoniously with our beautiful coastline.

Dan Stroud, Partner at Cover Storey Architects, praised the collaboration, stating, “Our experience working with King & Drury on the West Wittering Hub was extremely positive. Their meticulous approach and dedication to a high standard of finish were clear at every stage. They were collaborative partners, open to new ideas, and consistently focused on delivering a successful result for the Estate.”

We are delighted with this impressive new facility, which demonstrates our ongoing commitment to safety, accessibility, and an exceptional beach experience for everyone.

We would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the entire project team: King & Drury, Cover Storey Architects, SMD Construction Consultancy, Campbell Reith and the West Wittering Estate team, all of whom were instrumental in making this vision a reality.
