This year is particularly special as we officially open our brand-new Lifeguard Operations Tower. This modern facility provides the very best vantage point for our team to monitor the beach and respond quickly to any incidents. It also improves coordination for beach safety, first aid, and rescue operations, helping us maintain the highest standards of care for all visitors.
Staying Safe at the Beach
While our lifeguards are always on hand to help, we ask everyone visiting the beach to follow these important safety guidelines:
Swim between the red and yellow flags. These mark the safest area for swimming, where lifeguards are actively watching.
Never use inflatables in the sea. Strong currents and offshore winds can quickly carry inflatables out to deeper waters, even on calm days.
Keep off the sandbars. Although they may look like the perfect place to explore, sandbars can be extremely dangerous. The tide can return quickly, cutting you off and leaving you stranded in deep water with strong currents.
Keep a close eye on children. Even shallow water can be hazardous—always stay within arm’s reach of young children.
Check the tide times. Be aware of how quickly conditions can change and plan your day accordingly.
Listen to lifeguard advice. If flags are moved or the warning horn sounds, please follow instructions immediately—they’re there for your safety.
